My first week of second year uni has just finished, and it took me a long time to get this point. We got right into the dental subjects, learning about the simulators and practicing drilling our blocks. It was a mix of excitement, anxiety (will I get told off for my blue tips? I didn't but I plan to cut my hair in the next couple of weeks, my hair is just so damaged and I really hope it doesn't fall off, I may just have subtle streaks afterwards) and relief (finally in second year and progress in my education). As a child, I hated going to the dentists especially because of the injections, so when hearing the drilling sounds coming from 40 so students' equipment simultaneously does make me feel a little nervous and uneasy. The first activity was practicing using our hand piece equipment to drill into the blocks, which simulate the layers of the tooth. I'm pretty horrible compared to others, but I think it's because I keep over doing it, if I just stop it wouldn't have looked so bad. There are black outlines which you're not meant to touch, but a lot of my black lines were already rubbed out, so it just made it look worse. But as you can see in the photo, the black lines are pretty much gone. For the first couple of weeks, we are only studying 2 subjects which means a very short uni weeks and lots of free time. I had my friends over for a movie night on Wednesday, watching Pitch Perfect, it was my third time watching the movie. My friend and I were going to to Dreamworld on Saturday, but the rain is just so heavy. I have nothing for the long weekend, just watched tv shows and movies. I was watching So Undercover, and I don't even know why I watch these bad movies, it was just horrible, the plot was unoriginal, and the humor wasn't funny at all.
Anywho, looking forward to my second week, again it's going to be short, just 2 days at uni or 4 hours!
