Do You Want Me (Dead)?

Wow it has been a while since i've posted and i was going to wait till the holidays were over so i can do everything together. I think this will one will be a summary and i'll post an in-depth one when i have time, but considering exams are very close, i doubt i will. First off, i really enjoyed these holidays, although its been very short, i would say i liked it more than mid-year break.

Monday:
Well i have been looking forward to this for a long, while it wasn't as planned as my other parties, it was still fun imo, also i got to catch up with a lot of people which is always good. We all met up at Highpoint, because the first part was at Playtime. It felt really good to be back there and able to play the games without thinking that its  a waste of money. There was some time waiting for everyone to come, eventually everyone (mostly) came and we were able to start playing. It was way more fun than i expected, although it was a little more crowded than i wanted it to be, at least it was mainly little kids, not the certain teenage group that i try to avoid. The little kids playing seem to win so many tickets, and when i played the games i didn't get so many. There were some pretty good games to play, better than i expected it to be. I was very off with my time plan, because i thought we would spend an hour max at playtime, but things happened. I thought $10 worth of coins would go quickly but it took a while for everyone to get through it all. It was very awesome of everyone to give me their tickets, i have never gotten so many, it felt good. however the gift choosing process was hard, there used to be some good high school musical things but they didn't seem to have that anymore so after much thought, i went with scrabble junior, giant crayon money box and some silly stringz. When i went to pay for the party, i found out that nugget had lost her wallet, which totally sucks and i knew exactly how she was feeling because it has happened to me. we tried to look around for it but no such luck. I really felt for her, and somehow hoped that the wallet would show up. So after the business of cancelling her card, we took the bus home and it was about 3 o'clock so everyone was really hungry. Haha, yeah i was estimating that we would get home at 2. So we gobbled down the food, really quickly i might add, i swear it was only 10mins when a lot of the food was gone. But yeah doesn't really matter, i didn't want any left over food. I was bummed that i didn't get a chance to eat one of the chicken pastries i made, it was my first time, and i like to taste my own food before i give them out to people. So after food, we played some band hero, and i hung out with the monash crew, just talking about our careers and how it may not be as bad as it seems (although i'm trying to get into dent). Ahh it was so good to catch up with them, i miss seeing them everyday, i never thought that i would leave after only a year, its not enough, but then again i may be leaving latrobe pharm after one year, gosh it makes me seem flighty when you look, but for all those who know, there is a reason why i am doing all this.
Then it was time to cut the cake before people had to leave, i must say the cake was an improvement from last year so i was happy with that. Although i think i should invest in a piping set, instead of using a sandwich bag and accidentally cutting a big hole from it. The cake was alright but it was a little dry considering i specifically chose the recipe so that it wouldn't be dry according to the recipe. it was a pretty massive cake, it rose quite a bit. G played some guitar, and she played Soul Sister and i sang along really badly. I was so out of tune and i didn't know the words, but G played very well. She plays way better than i do. I opened the present that the latrobe peeps got me, and it was a pair of grey vans, so i was ecstatic. My first pair of vans, i'm all prepared for my future concerts. By 5 most people had already left, except M, Sh, Nu and T but that was expected, they were the last ones to leave last year too. The party went by so quickly, i was very sad to see everyone leave. Anywho the people left were playing band hero, with some very hilarious moments. In general, we weren't doing so well, especially on guitar hero, but fun nonetheless. So everyone left at 8.30, and then it was sad.

Wednesday:
I got my P's. Finally, only four years after i got my L's. It was raining pretty heavily but i managed :)

Friday:
A very loud day. It was Counter Revolution.
All the bands were amazing, and while the venue was ideal, i still had an awesome time. Highlights were This Providence, Hellogoodbye, All Time Low and PATD. Hellogoodbye was a very nice surprise on stage, much heavier than how they sound on CD's. Everyone was so tall in the crowds, everytime we inch forward and get in front of a tall person, there was another tall person that we had to get pass. I think i gave in that there was no way that i could be at the barrier for ATL or PATD. Yellowcard was pretty good too, although we had to get out of the crowd because we couldn't see anything. I only wanted to hear two songs from them and they ended up playing both songs, so i was a happy camper. The crowd for ATL was crazy so we couldn't stand that close to them. I had an okay to poor view, at times i couldn't see anyone. But i was just very happy to be listening to their music live, and they played a lot of their new songs which i loved. Another hour later, and it was PATD time, this was very much anticipated. I was a couple of rows from the front and still couldn't get a decent view. Even in that position, i got pushed around so much, and being short makes it so much more worse. So i tried to slowly inch back, but the crowd was tight so that was hard to do. Eventually i got an okay position where there were more room to breath. The set was amazing, very energetic and Brendon kept doing screamo singing, i didn't know he had in him. it was good when he took his shirt, although his shirt and suspenders were nice too. I was sad when it ended, like every other concert. Oh yeah, we were so bummed out that the signings for ATL and PATD were sold out, we were intent on meeting them.
So these are other things that happened:
-Listening to screamo music, because although the stage was divided in two, the music blasted throughout the whole venue. I have to say it would be the only time that i can listen to screamo music, i think i would appreciate it more if i knew what they were saying.
-Waiting about an hour in the rain to get some food, ended up being quite pricey, so i just got a dim sim
-Met a girl in the food line, turned out she was only 15, but looked a lot older, and she said we looked very young. she hung around for a bit and then we lost her in a crowd, i hope she didn't take offence to that.
-Saw the drummer from Go Radio but was way too scared to ask for a photo. Finally got the courage, ask him for a photo and he thought it was just for the us, and then we were like "you have to be in too!" he's gorgeous.
-A lot of the other band people were watching Yellowcard perform from the side stage, Zach from ATL was eating half a watermelon, which was pretty funny.
-Found out that Dan Young from This Providence is from Melbourne, who even knew he was Australian.
-Surprised that there were quite a few guy fans of ATL and even older guys too. how can stand the squealing girls (although i may be one them)
-Met Forrest and another member from Hellogoodbye, and took a photo with them. They look so nice and i liked their clothing style. They were really friendly with a group of girls, and even smelling a girl's hair at one stage. If only we could talk to them properly.
So that was counter revolution, after all the stuff that they have been through with the cancellation of SWRev, and venue changes and bands dropping out, I am pretty glad that this one went through. Our ears were kinda dead after because it was a constant 12 hours very loud music, literally.
M and I were waiting for my dad to pick us up, and one of the bus carrying some of the band members back to their hotel, i walked to the bus in general and one of them waved back. However it was quite dark so i didn't know who it was. But he looked very happy.

Saturday:
One of the best days ever. Let's say it involved a lot of magical things.
I think i will dedicate a separate post to this when i have the time.
It's about our time at the airport, so you guys can guess what we were doing there ;)

Love Squealer.
