Fireworks

Last week was an amazing week, and i will try this time to give dot point summaries of the events that had transcended. It was a crazy, hectic and very exciting week filled with many concerts, friends and the constant reminder that we are getting old.

MONDAY
-An Evening with Anberlin concert, this one was extra special because it was going to be filmed and made into a DVD which i will make all you guys watch.
-Boring day at uni, not paying much attention.
-Caught the train and got into the city at 6, realised there were no trams running along bourke, so i bus-ed down latrobe.
-Met everyone at the Palace at 6.40, then went to get some Nandos
-Surprisingly not many people were waiting in line
-When walking back from nandos, we saw Dion (the guitarist) from Anberlin, tempted to run after him but decided we will probs see him later.
-Finally let in at 7.30, got our bags cloaked by an annoying lady who kept pointing out things wrong with our bag. This made us frustrated because we were eager to be in the front row.
-We were in the 2nd row, met a new friend who was J's friend, and took some photos.
-Tonight Alive played first and they were loud, very paramore-esque due to the fact that the singer was a girl. She was pretty and happy on stage except the instruments were too loud to hear the lyrics.
-Waited for 45mins before Anberlin came on stage.
-It was a beautiful 2 hour set. Although i didn't know most of the lyrics, still one of the best experiences.
-Had a little heart attack when Travis of We The Kings came out as a guest singer, if you listen to me on the video i sound like i'm hyperventilating/crying but i'm not.
-The singer from Tonight Alive, also sang and she had a really good voice, i wouldn't mind listening to her more.
-Anberlin has a very short Q&A session where the singer Stephan was really funny and kept saying how melbourne is awesome and how they love coming back to Australia. I was surprised when they made jokes about Perth and Adelaide, they seem to have a pretty good knowledge of Australian culture.
-They played an encore song which was amazing.
-We waited around the venue for the band to come out, and i bought a tshirt
-We had some things signed and photos with the band
-As usual i was very awkward, i couldn't even talk to the band members. But it was amazing just to be staring at them and to be in a very close proximity.
-Overall amazing night, cannot wait for the DVD so everything can be relived.

WEDNESDAY
-You Me At Six and We The Kings Concert
-We got to the venue at around 12.30 and as usual very eager U18 year olds were already lining up.
-Got into the venue at 4ish. Luckily our ID's checked through even though the photo was pretty dodgy on them.
-The Mission in Motion played and they were loud. I kept my head on M's shoulder to muffle the sounds a little, it helped but i probs looked weird/sleepy.
-We the Kings came on and they were so good, they played most the songs they previously played with some new songs from their album. Personally i liked their other concert in March. I think Travis told better stories then. But they were still amazing, i'm just so proud of them, they've done very well in the Aus market.
-I was more excited for YMAS to come on, i'm only a recent fan but i love love their music, there's something about Josh's voice and the emotions he conveys through his songs.
-YMAS was mind blowing, i can't describe, i let myself go for their set, screaming most of the words and not caring how bad i sounded.
-I love Josh's accent, and the way he moves and his smile, too bad he has a girlfriend. I can't believe he's only 21, about 1 year older than i am.
-The crowd was way too crazy, damn those under 18's. I fell down once even though i was on the platform on the sides.
-By the end of the concert, M and I felt so dead and drained, we could barely move and my legs felt funny and weird.
-i didn't bring any money to stop myself from buying stuff but i wish i had bought a tshirt.
-So yeah another awesome night.
-Oh yeah YMAS announced that they will be back in February which brought about some deafening screams from the crowd including me.
-I love it when bands announce they are coming back, it makes me so happy and something to love forward to.

SATURDAY
-This was S's farewell party
-Just a fun day with friends with massive (junk) food intake
-We played around with her skateboard which proved harder than it looks
-I played jenga for the first time, and luckily it wasn't me who broke the tower.
-We were just lounging around and not wanting to go home.
-We had a little jam session with the piano and guitar as we always end up doing no matter where we are, as long as there are instruments to play.

Pretty intense/exciting fun week. Now to tackle all the homework and lab reports that i have been putting off.

Love Squealer.
