one race to the end.

hey guys, well the past couple of days have been hectic, well not really but it has been fun though.
sunday morning was the day of the amazing race that my friends planned for Y, V and Sn, though there were a couple of glitches it was pretty fun. we make pit stops around certain icons in melbourne, while it was a race, the participants were all that interested in running and casually strolled through the amazing race. they even stopped for a food break in the middle, making my friends wait at the pit stops. overall they finished it in the end, with them waiting at the lockers at state library were their presents.
one of the glitches was that Sn was running late giving my friend and I to wander around fed square and lucky for us there was a design market and there were so many pretty things, though they were very expensive. they were wood cut necklaces and metal cut brooches and jewelery in the cutest a designs, i would of taken photos but i was scared that they would accuse me of stealing their ideas. i wanted to buy so many things and it really made me want to create those little trinkets but i have no artistic ability.
so with the amazing race over, we went to eat some pizza. the place was so cool, we sat in a dome shape room which made our voices travel weirdly and bounce off the walls to unexpected places. the pizzas we ordered were very delicious except for the one exception where the cheese tasted like perfume and left a gross feeling in your mouth.
so after that some of the group drifted off while some of my friends made our way to M's house for a sleepover so we could watch the world cup final. when we got to her house we went to the park again and we were able to take some pretty funny photos, i left the camera on self timer which took about 6 consecutive  shots. then we got to her house and i realized that both my cameras were out of batteries, which kind sucked. we ate butter chicken for dinner and spent the whole night singing karoke along with youtube videos.then we slept for a couple of hours with the intention of waking for the match. before we fell asleep, we were coming up names for my camera, i liked Daisy, but i'm thinking its too girly and frilly. yeah i woke up but i drifted in and out of the match because i was so tired. we got up at 6.30 because we needed to prepare some food for a surprise tea party we were throwing for T. i made some quiches while my friends made some sandwiches.
lalalala skip a couple things. we were at T's house munching on food and catching up. she was away for a couple months so it was a good get together.
yeah more stuff happened and then i went home, and crashed on my bed. lovely.

i have no idea why i was so tired yesterday. i got home from my friend's house, granted the travelling time was around 2 hours, i had dinner and decided to have a nap but then i just slept until 10 the next day (today). i felt bad because i didn't brush my teeth yet. but yeah yesterday, it was a cheesecake day at M's cool new house which i love. we baked a cookies and cream cheesecake and had a store bought French Vanilla Cheesecake and a random store bought apple pie (which was later named apple crumble). i thought the cheese tasted funny in the cookies and cream cheesecake but the cake bit was nice, i'm not used to having cheese in dessert. i liked the French Vanilla cheesecake better because there wasn't a cheese taste and it was topped with passion fruit pulp which was yummy. yeah besides that we had chips and some pizza bruschetta, so it wasn't all sugar.

i wished i could of stayed longer but i hate that her house is so far away. half of us watched an episode of gilmore girls and the other half played Nancy Drew. then we decided to play in the park, which was the most amazing park that i have ever seen. it was so cool, so much better than my local park. there was everything and so many photo opportunities. yeah i/friends took 350 photos yesterday, such a good day for my camera.

i couldn't be stuffed dressing up nicely so i just went with jeans and a t-shirt, i was going to wear a skirt but i thought it would be uncomfortable.

also i got my friend into gilmore girls, and she kept suggesting that we watch gilmore girls the whole day.

sometimes i wish i could fast forward my life into the future, when i'm married with kids and solely depending on my husband's salary so i can become a housewife so i can go shopping and live like Mrs Bass/Humphrey. yeah i aspire to be a housewife, i mean i do want a career but i will probably quit at the height of my success and focus on my children. but if i get bored, i will probably get a part time job. i just want to know how my life will turn out to know now that i have something to look forward to and that all the stuff that is happening to me is worth it in the end. but i guess that's the exciting part of life, right?

i'm actually liking my life right now, now that i'm on holidays and theres just over a week left, its gone by so fast. i love spending time with my friends, kinda like old times. its so weird that once i get back to uni, i won't spend so much time with my highschool friends and i have to go back to the routine of uni and my uni friends. they're a cool bunch but i'm more closer and comfortable with my high school bunch. i guess i have to try harder and talk more, its just that my uni friends aren't so 'childish' as my high school friends. i can't find the right word, yeah my high school friends are pretty random and we do the most weirdest things, i'm going to miss that when i go back.

sorry for the grainy photos, i accidently resized my photos too much and so the resolution went bad. 

today was a fun day. i had a catch up picnic with my highschool friends which some i haven't seen in ages. although there was one of friends, J, didn't come and whom i haven't seen for 8 months so we started coming up with conspiracies theories about her whereabouts. we decided that maybe she is a spy and thus not keeping in contact with anyone. She doesn't even pick up her phone so we're not sure if she changed her number or not. no one has really seen her around uni as well.
we had a picnic but it was mainly just chips and cookies and my sushi. there have been too many days these holidays in which i ate too much junk food, that can't be good.
and we just basically sat down on the chairs at melb central and just talked, it was so good seeing everyone even if everyone wasn't technically there.

on a side note i was tempted to buy some shirts from an op shop, but then i didn't. hopefully i can go op shopping again soon and try to forget the amount of money that i spent over the past week. i know its money that i've earned but i don't know how i'm spending so much money so quickly. i want to go to camberwell market as well, maybe next weekend and oh no then i go back to school.
i hope that i didn't fail any subjects because people will know whether i failed or not because semester 1 subjects are prerequisites for semester 2 and how embarrassing if you're not in one/some of the classes.

i've actually never worn white stockings before because i think they emphasize my unfit habits, but i think these are alright, i guess. now that's so cold i always have to chuck on an oversized thing which just covers my outfit which is the bad thing about winter. and berets never stay right on my head, i usually end up taking it off because i want to tie up my hair. i wish my hair was smoother and didn't tangle easily.

i want those shoes, but i cannot afford them. although i did stumble upon one like those in an op shop but it was too scuffed and my mum would of yelled at me for buying them.

i brought along my dlsr camera today to find i forgot to take the SD card out of my laptop so bringing the camera was pointless which was a shame because i really wanted to take some photos with it.

i like the colours in the outfits, they brighten up the day and the monotonous colours.

well the past couple of days was pretty fun,they included a chunk of time waiting for public transport though. i was bored out of brains at home so i decided to go out. on sunday i went to dfo/spotlight.

i'm in the slow process of redecorating my room and first up: painting my shelves white 

well originally it was going to be yellow but i didn't have enough paint

so now i'm painting over the yellow with white. while in dfo, i bought some skirts. i really want to buy some lace up boots but they are so expensive and also i'm trying to find cheaper clogs but i failed, i actually don't know if i could walk in them though. well the search continues. 

on monday was my op shopping day. i found a couple things including another cardigan, an army-ish flowly jacket and some tops. it was so cold outside i didn't wear enough layer, i think my hands got frozen. 

and today i went to highpoint to grab some more paints, i was half rushing and shopping because i didn't want to use another metcard as my card expired at 3 o'clock. i was really nervous because the bus came late but luckily i validated at 2.59pm. so yay i didn't have to pay for another ticket. 

also on my op shops adventure, 

i went to cash converters to see if i could find some old slr cameras because i want some more lens for my camera but i didn't find any. i was looking at some dvds and decided to get 30 Rock season 1

because i thought it would be fun to watch and so far i think its pretty good. 

usually i never buy dvds, only if i really really like it

or its really cheap, i think 30 Rock fell into the latter category. 

well it wasn't that cheap but its holidays

i finished listening to miley cyrus' new album and i quite like it, there are a few songs i like, but i think some of the songs sound the same. one of the songs sounds like another song that i cannot pinpoint at the moment. i reckon you guys should listen to it, but that't just me.
