A Generation in a Coma

So a week (and a day) has past and i haven't really done anything worth mentioning cept for a few moments. Boy this week has been quick and i haven't achieved the things that i planned for the mid-sem break, which shouldn't really surprise me. Well i like to hope that i would get more work done as this year is really important that my grades are top notch and my work needs to be done in a timely manner. I've got an assignment due tomorrow but i only have a little description to write, and i sound condescending in it, i'm trying not to but there aren't really any guidelines for the writing so i am covering my bases (by explaining everything, not being condescending). There is a test on Wednesday but i think i got the material down pat, just a little revision should set me up right, and i think it is only 2.5% of the total mark so I'm not so fussed about the best mark.
For the beginning of the week, i had two shifts at work, and even though they were only 5 hours, i felt extremely tired afterwards, it is really putting me off work but i need the money for the awesome concerts that i hopefully will be attending at the end of year. And also I need the money to sustain my growing internet shopping addiction, well its not really an addiction yet, luckily shipping from US is expensive otherwise i would have ordered so many more stuff by now. I've been spending my time on merchandise websites, making up mock orders and checking out the shipping prices. I told myself that i am not allowed to make another purchase until i receive the DC one, which i don't think will be for a couple of weeks because they haven't shipped the package yet. But i hope by then the AUS dollar hasn't gone down, it is very high so another reason why i want to buy more stuff. Actually i just want to buy band stuff, i'm not really interested in anything else. On Wednesday, I went out op shopping but i didn't find anything that interested me. I did end up buying a grey wool blazer/coat for winter but i need to wait to dry clean it before i can wear it, at least i didn't walk away empty-handed.
On Thursday, in the morning, my hellomerch package arrived, I was so surprised. The shipping was very quick, only about a week. The package was tiny, so i was questioning whether they had fit everything into the package or not. But when i opened it rather hastily, they had everything there, the package was very tight. I was a bit disappointed with the tshirts having no plastic wrapping or wrapping, i guess its better for the environment, but there were a lot dust and other debris on the tshirts. But that didn't concern me too much, i was way too excited to be getting my stuff!! I wore one of the tshirts that day and i will probably be wearing way too many times.

 For lunch, there was a group picnic on, but only about half the group came. There was V,M, Sh, and I, so it was a pretty small group. But we had fun catching up and everything. There was this massive group near where we were sitting and more people kept coming and joining them. They looked like high school kids, so i dunno what they were doing in the park. Anywhoo we were watching them and trying to come up with the conversations they might be having. There was this girl who was playing with her puppy and it was the most cutest thing, it looked like a cross between a chihuahua and a Pomeranian. It was so fluffy and small, i wish i had taken a photo of it.  Afterwards, we dropped Sh at Flinders and made our way to Riot Art, i was looking for white paint but they didn't have any. Then we walked to the ticketek office, so V could buy Walk with dinosaurs tickets. And after, we all walked back to MC up stairs food court to meet with other people. We bummed around there for a while before we went home.
On Friday, i tried to study but i ended up not doing much. I did at least finish the spreadsheet part of my assignment. I told myself i had to finish that off before i could go to spotlight. I stopped by DFO to find some black skinny legs but i was unsuccessful, a lot of the jeans nowadays are not those fully black ones, they're like really dark dark blue/grey, i wanted one where the denim looked like it was dyed/painted black, if you guys get what i'm saying. I went to spotlight to try to find some white fabric paint, but i couldn't find any either. I decided to buy some fabric fixative to make normal paint into acrylic paint and give that a go.
I had a full day of work on Saturday, uneventful and a very long day.
And that leads me to Sunday, again doing nothing again. I managed to do some minimal work, but better than nothing i guess. I also made another tshirt, and surprise surprise its another band one. I wanted to do Every Avenue now, so i can mentally cross off my favourite bands. The lettering was annoying to do but pretty straight forward and luckily the letter were mostly straight lines. I used the fabric fixative mixed with yellow and red paint. I dunno how long it will last but it turned okay. The consistency was thinner so i had to do more layers but maybe that had something to do with the lighter colours; i've been using black and i can get away with just one layer. The paint wasn't as smooth either, which meant when it dried it would be quite bumpy compared to the black paint. I might buy another colour of fabric paint to compare it with using the acrylic paint and fabric fixative. Also it might have something to do with the paints being old, over 5 years? But it looked fine to use, so maybe i can try using new paints next time. I actually have so many plain tshirts that i can experiment with so thats okay. I keep buying plain tshirts when they're cheap, but i love tshirts, they are just so awesome and effortless when it comes to dressing in the morning. Oh and teh edges are not as smooth as fabric paint, because the paint from the contact paper gets stuck with the paint on the shirt, but overall i'm pretty happy with it, you can read what it says and it looks not too bad when you look at it from a distance.

Arghhh uni tomorrow.
