(Whaaat?! Two posts in day =D)
The following day after Soundwave, my friends and I went to Tamborine Mountain, which is this national park sort-of-thing, with hiking trails, walks, water falls and general outdoor-sy things. The drive was about 40 minutes and we went in my friend's little Yaris. It was funny driving up the the steep roads up the mountain, we could barely go back past 40km/h! There were four wheel drives behind who must of been very annoyed, but there wasn't much we could do anyways.
We finally got our first waterfall, unfortunately the road leading up to the car park was flooded, so we had to walk in. The road was actually not flooded too badly, we just took off our shoes and walked through the water, it was very cooling. The waterfall was amazing, it had been raining a lot recently so the water was gushing, I wish I had a better camera to capture the moment, so you guys just have to deal with photos from my camera.
Afterwards we went to eat lunch, in a place that was filled with mosquitos, I counted over 20 bites when I got home. It wasn't very pretty and so itchy, I'm a little annoyed because there are still marks from the bites and I'm hoping they will fade away completely. Anywho, the lunch was nice, just simple sandwich and some fruit.
We went to a lookout which was breath-taking! Although I have seen quite a few look outs in my life, and I have to say it wasn't the best one I've seen, but decent. There was also another waterfall in that area too, so we decided to venture out there. The second water fall was better than the first, because it was bigger but it wasn't as defined, if you know what I mean. I wish it was a hot day and we had our swimmers and could go swimming, it would be like a scene in a movie!
Overall it was a fun day, and if anyone is going to be in the Gold Coast, I highly recommend going to Tambourine Mountain, it was such an amazing day.
